DRYWALL PHASE II
With the drywall all roughed in it was time for mudding, taping and texturing. Cesar was the man for the job. Of all the sub-contractors we have had on site Cesar has been the most professional and polite. He started off in the tallest and most spacious area ... the garage.
The lower portions of the walls weren't that hard but he had to get out his stilts and scaffolding to get the upper walls and the ceiling. The first step in the process is to mud over all the seams and nail/screw heads. The mud is applied with a trowel. In the pictures below the white lines are the mud.
Once the mud is dry the seams are taped. Cesar used a tool to roll on the tape. In the picutre below Cesar is rolling the tape, which is brownish in color, onto the ceiling of the garage.

Once the mudding and taping is complete the texture is applied. We went with a simple hawk and trowel technique so the walls wouldn't be too plain.

Once the garage was complete it was onto the house and casita. They had a lot more corners thus it took Cesar about a week and half to finish it all.
